Sean Stone Converts to Islam

My childhood friend, Sean Stone, has "converted to Islam" this week in Iran. Now, that's the headline. Though I wouldn't quite say it's true. From the Fars News agency:
"The conversion to Islam is not abandoning Christianity or Judaism, which I was born with," Stone told Fars News Agency. "It means I have accepted Mohammad and other prophets."

Anyway, I think that Sean is right when he's saying he's getting some "Hollywood backlash" on this issue. Hollywood is a very "pro Israel" place. And breaking with that, like he's slightly doing in the video below, can't be that popular of a thing.

It's going to be interesting what he comes up with vis-a-vis his documentary. More to the point, I'm just glad he's on CNN giving a new voice to the American debate on Iran. I haven't heard anyone on national TV say what he says here.

Good to see you back. This is very interesting. I hope the American Press will pick more of this story up and keep the dialog on-going.
Conversation, not rockets.

Hey, thanks! Glad to be back. When I get a moment, I'm going to post some pictures from my latest travels.

Sounds like Gaza is heating up... again.
