My dear friend and former roommate from China called me today. His name? Drago.
We talked about a lot of things, mostly what he's going to do when he moves to New Zealand with his girlfriend for nine months. (If anyone has any ideas, let us know!)
Anyway, he asked what was going on with me, and I told him about my publishing company,
Casbah Publishing, and the "digital distribution" strategy I have for bringing my apps and books to market. Drago, in response, laughed with approval, and uttered something Paul Orfalea said about being successful:
In your twenties, try everything;
in your thirties, figure out what you're good at;
in your forties, make money;
in your fifties, do what you want.
I've been thinking about this for an hour now. I'm going to get back to editing the second draft of my book, so I can pack up my KLR 650 motorcycle 2mar0 and head from San Diego Country up to San Fransisco to visit Zack, the dude who designed the picture insert for Surfing the Middle East (the hardcover). But until then, think about what old Paul said, and if you think it'd be something you'd subscribe too. Because it seems great to me!
