Surfing the Middle East: #1 in Lebanon Travel

Most who have been following this blog know that I wrote a book called Surfing the Middle East... and am a huge fan of iPads, tech, the distribution revolution and strong drink. And for that, may I defer to talking about the Other Angle that Surfing the Middle East has taken... the Amazon Kindle Store.

The "main product" we made is our enhanced media iPad App. However, we also put it on the Kindle, as not to get hit with some outrageous discrimination lawsuit my mother would have filed as she is only an iPhone user. In other words, we did it to do it, and I am honestly quite happy we did... the literary quality of all enhanced media iPad books is still the most important thing... you just get to build out TV quality media with it.

So, without further crazed rambling, here is a computer snapshot I took of Surfing the Middle East: "It's like Maui with rockets" hitting #1 on the Lebanon Travel section of the Kindle Store today. Note that it also seems to be doing well in the Israel Travel section, too.

Here is a link to the Kindle Store, if you are vying to read the text--and here is a link to Apple's iPad store, if you have an iPad. (You'd also be doing me a huge favor by writing reviews on either of these products.)

Thanks guys, it is your support that drives the machine!

Surfing, but not the Middle East

Everyone knows that Indonesia has great surf, but check this video out! It looks like some river inlet, that every so often captures a tidal pulse that causes it all to break. I could be fully wrong, but with seeing how various lagoons work in parts of Mexico, that's what it looks like to me. Anyone have anything else?

LA meets the Middle East

While making Surfing the Middle East there was a strange synthisis of LA and the Middle East. This video more or less shows that, as Producer Jim and George Hale are... umm... communicating.
