That Aussie punk (who has that little thing called Fox News) has teamed up with Apple to make an exclusive to iPad daily paper. I'm talking about Rupert Murdoch.
The name of the paper? Wanna guess? ...pause... The Daily. Not exactly the most creative name ever... but what the hell? It gets the point across: a daily iPad paper that sells for 99cents a week. Not bad.
But this cut makes it look sort of boring. Does it not? (Or maybe it has something to do with the fact that I'm sitting in an editing bay in Sherman Oaks, CA, right now, editing a similar kind of promotional reel for Surfing the Middle East. Ours is filled with high-end cuts, adrenalin, and an adventure feel that features some of the most explosive text in the book. I'll share soon.)
So what do you think about The Daily? Is it cool? Good demo? I really like the panocramic shots, where you can toggle the screen in a 360 angle. (We were going to do that for Surfing the Middle East... but then I remembered I didn't take any of those shots because the iPad didn't exist when I was doing the trip, now over a year ago.)

Yeah, i totally did. I spent most of my time last year surfing in Haifa.
Do you surf in Israel?
yeah.. i live in yaffo so mostly at my local beach but i also go up and down the coast every now and then depending which friends i want to surf with and the conditions..
Very cool. I spent most of my time surfing in Haifa and then to south Lebanon.
I've surfed in Tel Aviv. But it wasn't too good when I caught it.
How are the breaks in Yaffo?
we have an awesome break.. my home break.. its right by the port - border of telaviv.. today was so sweet
peeking with cute little 3 footers with some nice punch and an awesome vibe in the water and almost no wind..
i braved the cold and went in with a rashi and bordies.. was soo much fun
are you coming back to the region?
Man, I'd love to soon. We should def catch some waves together when I do.

the "secret spots" i cant type about haha.. but if you can recognise the location in this post then youll be close.. http://emspeace.blogspot.com/2010/01/day-from-heaven.html then again - even on this trip i didnt take my friends to my secret spot at this awesome beach but instead we surfed the main break..
