Never expected I'd laugh out loud during a 45-minute discussion of this incredibly depressing issue, but I found I did when Shaath said, "We (the PA) are not dependent on Israel, we are controlled by Israel. And the Israelis are control freaks!"

Still Alive...
Sorry the posts have been light. I've been working like a Jew under Pharaoh, trying to get my Surfing the Casbah manuscript ready for publication. It's been a hell of a ride.
Much to come soon. (Like, for example, I am negotiating Surfing the Casbah to be released as an Ipad electronic book with videos and pictures ... but AHH, careful, careful! Can't expose too much-------------------------------yet!)
